Can I add Elements into each other when building Cards? I would like to add check boxes into a card that has text boxes or pulldown menues.

Card form only supports 1 field per page.

For multiple fields, you need to use the Multi-line Question field. Unfortunately, this field doesn't support checkbox or radio button.
