How to delete images in the image wizard?

Asked by markashton on March 02, 2011 at 09:58 AM

    Hi,

I've started to have a cumbersome amount of images in the upload image area that is accessible in the image wizard when you choose the "use an existing image" option. I would like to be able to delete some of the ones I'm not using. Can I request this as a feature (perhaps via right-click on the image) if it is not currently possible

    Regards Mark

I know you guys are busy but when I use "Use an existing image" I have to plough through a bunch of images.

Any idea when this would be implemented? I'd be grateful

    Hello,

We still can't tell when can this be implemented.  But we'll let you know once this is done.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Hi Anders,

I see how this might be handy. However, our developers are working on a long line of requested features. Each feature has to be coded, tested, debugged and then rolled out. That is why as much as we would like to implement them sooner it is simply not possible. Nevertheless, we only want to make sure that everything we come out with is working 100%. Rest assured, we will try to get them ready as soon as possible.

    Thank you for your patience.

Any idea when this is might be dealt with. I've got loads of images I want to delete. Surely it would be good for you lot too?

What's the point of having great folders and organisation when one has no control of the images knocking about.

I have started developing a sea of images that I don't need and it gets confusing which one you need.

Just a delete button next to selected images .... Please

    Regards Mark

    Hi folks,

    I did a little test ;)

I left this issue for exactly six months - and what's been done about it .... mmm ... guess? And that's an increased priority request!

As you can see I have made 4 previous posts on this issue and .... fair enough ... no real promise has been broken.... but I estimate I have put in about half an hour of time on this - about £50 GBP.

Respectfully, I don't post on this forum unless it's a bug. I have a host of feature requests but cannot be bothered to utilise my time to pass on what instinctively feels to be an area of "platitudes".

Don't worry about a response on this - I know - it's in the pipeline.

    Respectfully mean't, Mark Ashton

    Mark,

I understand your frustration at the lack of traction on this feature request.

The developers are kept very busy keeping JotForm systems robust & availability high. They do consider each & every feature request on its own merits, unfortunately this particular one has not been priortised as much as one could have hoped.

All I can do, is to make your case again to the developers, as personally speaking, I feel its a feature that JotForm should have. Though, as I am sure you are probably aware, I cant make any promises.

    Hello Mark,

Let me please inform you that the feature request ticket is assigned to one of our developers, and the Priority status is currently set to NiceToDo. Our developers are extremely busy, and it might take some additional time to get the things done. Once again we are very sorry for the delay.

Thank you very much for your patience in this matter.

    You see Jotform!

Catwoman81 is so keen for this feature she has posted her request 3 times ;)

That's four requests for this little baby.

Move that up the roster my hard rockin' amigos.

The trigger happy catwoman and myself were romancing the stone on this issue 1608 hours ago whipcracking you lot over a 1560 hour delay.

Any movement on this delete button to get rid of images no longer required.

    I would be grateful

    many thanks

This "Nice to do" is a pain in the ass for me when I have to swim through this graveyard of obsolete images.

Do you know that only 5% of them are actually "live" - the rest are doomed to an eternity of eye-candy confusion.

If you used jotform as a power user - you'd probably have a similar slant on it.

Once again .... any chance you can pop a delete button on trhe images dialogue box please?

    Thanks Regards Mark

    Hi all,

Uploaded images can be deleted from now on. Beware that, if a deleted image is contained in a form, it will be missing on that form. Hope it helps. Best regards.

    Ozan,

I've just been up to clear my elephant grave yard of images and find no obvious method of deleting images.

Can you advise on exactly how to do this please?

    Thanks, Mark
