Can you browse multiple selections and select who you want to choose?

We are a nonprofit who has a Holiday Angels program coming up. We would like to utilize JotForm and incorporate our website to display the families who are available to be ‘adopted/shopped for’ and their stories. Then I would like for potential volunteers to ‘select’ a certain family which would then bring them to a registration page where we would gather their general information.

is this possible?

As far as I understand, you want to redirect user's to specific registration form based on their selection on your website. You may create separate forms for that or to pre populate the single form based on their selection on your web page: Prepopulating-Fields-to-Your-JotForm-via-URL-Parameters
