Google Sheets Integration not working properly?

I have a form that is used to collect student data throughout the school year.  The submissions are integrated with Google Sheets.  I've noticed that the integration settings have changed recently in that the Google Sheets can't be manipulated in anyway (I can't sort or filter the submissions or the integration stops or the sheet reverts back to what it was originally).  How can I get the submissions to be integrated in real time AND be able to manipulate the data?  The submission information is shared with a number of staff members who need to be able to filter and sort the submission information.  I've tried using importrange, but again, on the secondary sheet, I'm still not able to filter or manipulate the data submitted - the only thing I can do is hide columns and change colors, font, etc.

First, let me say that it is not good to adjust Spreadsheet in any way since it could cause the integration to break (that's if new data stops to arrive).

Now regarding the sort and filter inability, are they greyed out?

If that's a yes, could you please check the suggestion from here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2007-excel/sort-filter-greyed-out/96d45bfa-ba3a-46fc-8285-d0a8e37dba86?db=5?

    We'll wait for your response.

    Thank you!
