Clickable PDF link on notification email

Asked by Masalamedia on December 21, 2012 at 03:09 PM

In notification emails, is it possible to embed the {pdf-link} underneath text so I can format my notification message like this

CLICK HERE TO GET THE PDF VERSION

    instead of

CLICK HERE TO GET THE PDF VERSION: https://submit.jotformpro.com/server.php?action=getSubmissionPDF&sid=221929630931295729&formID=23555213832955

Every time I try to use the little link tool in the editor, JF adds a slash "/" which renders the link unusable.

You can add the PDF Version link manually. Please use the following value for Link URL field:

    http://www.jotformpro.com/server.php?action=getSubmissionPDF&sid={id}&formID=[formID]

Replace the [formID] with your form ID, so the final PDF link for your form is:

    http://www.jotformpro.com/server.php?action=getSubmissionPDF&sid={id}&formID=23555213832955

I will also submit a ticket to our Developers.

    Thank you.

That link should be clickable once the notification is received by the user (in an autoresponder) or by you, in an email alert

Actually I overlooked the fact that having  such TAG as clickable  has not been implemented yet

However, you can even make clickable the URL link , as explained by Mike_T, you need to do it manually first, then follow these steps in order to make it clickable

Paste the link into the email body messagge.

Then , Highlight (or select) the whole URL, copy it, then click the link icon in the screen's toolbar

Paste the copied URL onto the small Insert/Edit Link popup then click Insert
