    Feature Request: A Button Condition

Asked by guest_23626616235049 on December 28, 2012 at 11:48 PM

    Hi,

JotForm is great! Would be greater if a mere simple button is available in the Form Tools. This simple button is to be used with Condition Feature e.g: "If Button Clicked then... ".

In the future, this button can be used in collaboration with feature for adding a new dynamic row, which someone here already request.

    That's all.

    Thanks for your time.

    Hi,

Before we can submit your request to our higher team, may we know what exactly the purpose of that condition and how it should work? I am thinking this will create a conflict on the forms submit button.

How about using the Free Text HTML tool, it's under Power Tools? You can embed an HTML button with onclick events there, Example:

    <input type=button value="Click here to display alert message" OnClick="alert('Hello!')">

Yes, I miss the Power Tools :)

But let say in the future the Text Box has an option to be hidden first.

Then we put say 5 Hidden Text Boxes + 2 simple Buttons.

We can use Condition to show the hidden text boxes to appear like we are adding a dynamic row!

1 button to show the text fields (namely Add Item), 1 button to hide (Namely Remove Item).

Thanks for that clarification, we appreciate it.

The hide/show condition you've mentioned is possible with JotForm even without using buttons. What you need to have is a "Spinner" tool it's under Survey Tools, after that create a Hide/Show Condition just like this.

You can then create the same condition on the remaining text boxes, be sure to increase the greater than number by 1.

    Check this example: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/22886773026967?

There are actually many ways to create a hide and show condition. Here's another one: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/23611973374962?

You can clone that forms if you like as it may help you figure out the setup. Thanks!
