user entered fields in checkbox matrix

Asked by edimusrex on January 09, 2013 at 11:38 PM

I am trying to make a checkbox matrix with 8 questions to it.  The issue is that the first 6 are static questions (which work fine) but the last 2 I need them to be blank input boxes for the user to enter their own answers.  I have 6 other matrix like this.

I've played around with the source code and am able to alter it so that it can be done and post to a mysql database, but I would much rather use your form interface as it is much cleaner and easier to search

Below I have uploaded a screen shot to kind of make more sence out of what I am trying to accomplish

So basically, you'd like to capture user inputs using the custom text box on the edited matrix field? If so, I am afraid the data entered on the custom text box will not be captured since they are custom made and not generated from JotForm.

What I have in mind is to create these text boxes in the JotForm Builder, get your form source code and moved them to the matrix field under first column. Or, you can do these via CSS codes without using your source code. You can position these input boxes by injecting custom css codes to your form: How to Inject Custom CSS Codes to your Form.

Let us know if you have further questions. Thanks!
