This is a question on this form: https://hipaa.jotform.com/82610770745155
I have a question about the Date Picker -- one of Jot Form's elements
I want the person completing the Date Picker element to complete it in the following format: MM-DD-YYYY
See the widget here:
I want them to complete the element this way (MM-DD-YYYY) but the element can be completed without them completing it in the format I want. As it is now, the form will accept both 01-22-1999 and 1-22-1999. I want the 01-22-1999 value only (i.e., in the MM-DD-YYYY format).
Question: is there a way to make this happen?
Thanks

Let know if this would work or tell me how to modify please:
I can use the basic dropdown property element to "force" the individual to pick and format the values as I would like them. See below:
In the month box, the would have choices of 01-12 and in the day box they would have a choice of 01 to 31 and in the year box, they would have years going all the way back to 1920.
This would be acceptable if I could get 3 boxes on the same line and styled a little better --could this be formatted with boxes for Month/ Date/ Year all on the same line and looking a bit neater
Thanks

You may consider enabling the lite mode from the options tab of Date picker field properties.
This should enable the field to enter only in MM-DD-YYYY format. As shown above, the date entered in D-MM-YYYY format display an error.
You may also consider using the Birth Date picker field from the widgets section to display separated dropdown menus.
Hope this information helps!

Thanks
For whatever reason the Birth Date Picker does not show up on list of widgets; I have a Hipaa account -- not sure if that has something to do with it

I have tested this on our HIPAA account and it seems that the widget is not yet available on HIPAA.
You may try the datepicker field.

Please give it a try and let us know if this fits your requirements.
