Feature Request: Show only "answered" questions in Email Notification

    Sorry if this has already been answered...I couldn't find it.

    I have set up a food order form with dropdowns and checkboxes:


    Is there a way to show only what they choose in the email notification?  For example, if they order a large coffee and a bagel sandwich that only those 2 items show up with the answers instead of every item...most with no answers.


    I don't want to use the Purchase Order wizard as it doesn't give me the freedom and control I want.

    Currently, we have this kind of functionality for Radio Button, Check Box, File Upload, Scale Rating and Matrix (with Radio Button and Check Box inputs) fields. However, it works only for default notifications, if you change the notification body, all the fields will appear. We will try to improve this system in the future.

    Alternatively, you may delete form field titles from notification body, and just leave the field {tags}. Tags will not show any information for empty entries. In this case you will need to have good description on your Dropdown options, since Dropdown titles will not be included.


    Please also note that we have an option to Auto Hide Empty Fields on Submissions page, and it is possible to forward "clean" messages from that page.

    We have a new feature in Jotform. This is the "Hide Empty Fields on Emails" from Advanced tab under Preferences. You can use this feature to hide empty submission fields in email notifications.
