I would like to share the submissions so my Staff can keep a table up to date in the selected submission by editing and saving the data.

However the edit option is there but it does not save the data when I select the green arrow... where can I save the date once edited?

Also I wish to share access to submissions by use of a password, BUT the access does not allow for editing.

Can this option not be possible?

To edit the submissions made on your form, please kindly follow this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/325-How-to-Edit-Submissions-Made-on-Your-Forms 

Now, while sharing the submissions page the users will not be able to edit the submissions, if you want to allow them to do so, you will need to create a report instead, it can be password protected, you decide which fields to share and include the edit submission link.
