How can I retrieve responses from a formerly encrypted form?

    Hi,

I have a client that needs responses from this form: https://form.jotform.com/50763865293970. It formerly had an encryption key but it was not working for her. I turned off the encryption, deleted the sensitive fields and wanted to share the excel report with her but it is still encrypted on the report. Is there a way to get around this? She needs the info from the last 6 months. Her predecessor left and is trying to catch up.

    Thanks in advance.

    Robin

Please note that submitted encrypted data will stay encrypted even if you turn OFF form encryption.

To decrypt previously submitted encrypted data, you will need to turn ON form encryption and upload your private key. Also, please note that the Excel report feature is not available for the Encrypted forms.

Some of the features that are not available for Encrypted Forms are:

    1. PDF Downloads.

    2. Reports (this includes downloading Excel and CSV files from within the Submissions Page).

    3. Emails: Email Notifications and Autoresponder (usually emailed to the form submitters).

Without the key data cannot be decrypted. If the key was lost then the data is also lost.

More about encrypted forms, you can find inside of this guide:

You can share submissions page along with the key. This should allow users to review submissions without loggin in to your account.
