I want to change a text box to text area but keep the {name} and input_id

Asked by wegoshop on January 26, 2013 at 12:09 PM

Is this possible, so I do not have to go and change any conditions, notifications or hover text?

For example: I want the " List your Days and Hours of opeation" text box to now be a text area but retain the name {Listyour} and ID number #input_17.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

This is not possible. Textbox and textarea field are 2 distinct fields, and that they have different classes. Also, everytime you add new field into the form, it will generate a sequential input_# even if you delete the last field -- that last field's input_# will not be retain.

I reviewed your form, but I see no conditions setup on it. Perhaps if you can share to us the reason why you wanted to do this -- we might be able to assist you with a workaround.

I can tell you now, as is, it is quite easy to duplicate the notifications email and hover text without retaining the input_# ID number of the specific field in the form.

    Thanks.
