HIPAA Upload Form: an apostrophe is added at the end of the file extension.

Some of our forms request users to upload files to form with their information. It may be an ID card, insurance card, etc. We download them locally to save in their record with us. To download them, we click on the file description/link in the submissions list. See highlights on the attached screenshot.

This used to work perfectly until about a week or two ago, when it started saving the files with the extension of .jpg' instead of .jpg (and likewise for png, pdf, etc.). When they save as .jpg' the computer considers it an unfamiliar file type and doesn't know what programs to open it with. Even trying to manually open with normal imaging programs results in an error.

Looking into the issue, I realized that when you click on the file link, the default save dialogue puts apostrophes around the file name for some reason, and the computer reads the end apostrophe as part of the file extension.

We are able to do a workaround by changing from the default file type to All Files (*.*) and manually deleting the second apostrophe, leaving it so say only .jpg

When that is done, the file saves with the appropriate extension and everything works properly. However, this takes staff time to manually correct the file name and type. It would be very much appreciated if the apostrophes are removed from the default file name so they will save as the appropriate file type again.

    Thank you.
