I don't know whether this is too advanced for JotForm ---

I have a registration form for a fundraiser where I have two prices in the forms of radio buttons available for purchase,  (Non-Attendee and Attendee Prices) The "non-attendee" price is $15 while the "attendee price is $10.

In order for the user to pay the lower $10 fee, I want the system to check whether that user has already registered for the general conference itself (I have a SQL table of the registered users) Is there a way where the form can check if that user is already on the SQL table of registered users before applying that amount?

Any kind of code I can inject or is that too advanced?

    Hi there,

Unfortunately, this is not possible within the builder it self.

However, I can imagine a way to filter through the users with an autoresponder.

If the user pays for the general conference, the auto responder provides the user a link to another form with only the payment for an atendee available.

This would mean that only those who paid for the conference will have access to that form.

Do you think this may be a way to accomplish your goal?

Please let us know and we'll be glad to assist you!

I feel like you are getting at the way to accomplish my goal but can you clarify a little more?

How would it be possible that a user is directed to another form with only the payment for the attendee price available?  ($10) How is it verified that they already paid?

I wish there was a way I could just add a list of names of registered attendees to the form so that they only get the $10 discount :(

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi there,

What I was thinking is that you could have one form that processes the conference fee.

The Autoresponder sends a URL to the second form with a cost of $10.00.

You can accomplish this by inserting the link on the Autoresponder body:

The fact that the URL for the $10.00 form is only shared with people who have paid the conference filters out the people who havent paid.

Do you think this can be an option?

I understand what you are stating now.

I apologize about not elaborating this more clearly earlier, but the initial form that processes the conference fee is its own registration site that is developed outside of Jotform via php, html, javascript, etc. (I can't figure out how to code a form like the one I did in my Jotform example)

The Jotform form I am making is separate from that conference registration site.  In that case, would it be more fit if I had an autoresponder or link to the URL for the discount price within that initial registration site? And then a separate URL marketed externally for people who haven't paid for registration ?

I apologize about the confusion and let me know if you want me to elaborate more!

Thanks! I really appreciate the help.

If you were able to add the URL of the discounted form to an Autoresponder on your PHP form that would work.  Is that something that can be done?

You can build two separate forms on Jotfrom.

Discounted form - URL shared only to those who have paid

Regular price form - marketed separately

If there are members who have already paid, and you have their e-mail address, you can send them an e-mail with the special price offer and a link to the discounted form.

    I hope that helps!
