Open terms and conditions in smaller window

Asked by sacredsmile on February 07, 2013 at 03:45 AM

Hi. I tried to use the code from this thread (http://www.jotform.com/answers/57016-Adding-a-pop-up-box-to-show-terms-and-conditions) to open a smaller pop-up window for my terms and conditions, but it didnt work. Any idea why? You can see the link at the last form-page on the bottom of this page:  http://sacredsmile.info/bli-frivillig/frivillig-i-sierra-leone/frivillig-som-helsefaglig/

    Hi,

We don't support it anymore but there's a dirty trick in which only us JotForm support can apply it to your form to avoid any possible errors.  Example: http://www.jotformpro.com/form/30371926950961?

If you want, I can add this to your form. I'd like to ask your permission first before doing so. If you could also provide the right URL for the terms message, that would complete it! :)

    Thanks!

Hi. I would like to have control over the popup myself. Is there any other way to do it? Lightbox maybe?

I am using wordpress and i have installed a thickbox plugin. When i put the code that refers to that plugin in the terms and conditions field in the form, instead of the code i found in your forum, the thickbox is constrained in the frames of the jotform form. And it covers the whole form area. Any idea how to make it not constrained in the frames of the jotform form. When i put the code directly in the wordpress page, the thickbox works perfectly. But when i put it inside the jotform form, it's constrained in the frames of the jotform form. Any idea how to make it work?

You may take a look at it now at the same link in the same form: http://sacredsmile.info/bli-frivillig/frivillig-i-sierra-leone/frivillig-som-helsefaglig/

    @sacredsmile

Thanks, if you'd like the pop-up function to work, use your form source code and apply this script to create a pop-up function. This is what I am using. http://www.quirksmode.org/js/popup.html

Let us know if you need further assistance or if you have difficulties understanding the guide. We'd be happy to assist you. Thanks!

Hi. I tried embedding the source code. There is so much css adjustments that has to been made to make it look good, so i would rather that you do the change as you suggested.

The url that i will use for the terms and contitions is: http://sacredsmile.info/bli-frivillig/frivillig-i-sierra-leone/vilkar-og-betingelser-for-frivillige-i-sierra-leone/

I would like the width to be 960px and height 500px

    thanks

Hi. I see that you have already fixed it. Thank you very much.

Could you also make the window scroll active, so its possible to scroll down the page?

    thanks

Thank you very much for the scroll :)

The window is now positioned more to the right. Could you instead position it in the center?

    thanks

Hi. Something has happened now. It's back to scratch, and the window opens in full width.

    Hi Aril,

I think the behavior of the HTML codes that have recently provided has been change. My suggestion is to use this guide while we are investigating this.

Adding a License Agreement to a Form (Simply let everyone click on the link and open it on a new tab)

    Thanks

Ok. I think i accidentaly had two tabs with the same jotform form open. Maybe that resulted in the saving of a version of the form made earlier today.

Could you tell EltonCris to look at it again tomorrow?

    Thanks

Thank you very much. Do you know why that happened?

Is it possible to add a {margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto} to the window, so that it is centered on the screen?

    Thanks

    Hi Aril,

You have probably overwritten my changes as per mentioned on your last reply. ;)

By the way, I just used another script which centers the pop up window on any screen type. Check it now.

Here's the script by the way.

    <script>function PopupWindowCenter(URL, title,w,h){var left = (screen.width/2)-(w/2);var top = (screen.height/3)-(h/3);var newWin = window.open (URL, title, 'toolbar=no, location=no,directories=no, status=no, menubar=no,scrollbars=yes,resizable=no,copyhistory=no, width='+w+', height='+h+', top='+top+', left='+left);}</script>

I have also injected a CSS code to your form (it's on the last part of your existing CSS) to hide the Free Text HTML where this script is placed. Thanks!

By the way, if i duplicate this form, will those scripts also be copied to the duplicate?

Yes, cloning a form will create a complete copy of that form. Scripts, CSS even Integrations will be copied as well.

    Thanks!
