How can I have a dropdown that lists options and sub options?

I am wanting to be able to put in a drop down where users pick 1 of 2 selections, then based on that selection they are given a list of events to choose from.

How would I do this?

We have a Dynamic Dropdown widget which would allow you to have parent and child options. Please check here https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/dynamic_dropdowns. This is for single selection only, so if you need to have an option to allow multiple selections, you'll have to use our basic multiple choice field. 

For the multiple choice field, you will have to add one field that would list down the parent options and more for the child options then show each child when their parent is selected by conditional logic.
