Google Spreadsheet integration shows multiple entries when it should be single

Asked by Thermopylae on February 19, 2013 at 01:07 PM

Lately I have been getting multiple lines in my integrated Google spreadsheet for a single Jotform submission. I know the user is only entering it once and not hitting submit multiple times. It is very strange because in the Jotform submissions page it is correct, just not in the Google spreadsheet. Sometimes it copies the same entry to three lines, sometimes two lines.

While I can go into the spreadsheet and just delete the multiple entries as a fix, I am just wondering if this is something that is inherint in the integration as being a problem sometimes, or if there is a way to fix this that I am not aware of?

Please see attached image for details.

From what I can tell it appears that the people who filled out the form may have clicked on the submit button more than once almost immediately during submission which can cause replication to happen.

You may want to consider at this point changing your form to a Unique Submission set to Strict which will control the submissions by IP preventing multiple submissions from one person.
