When attempting to edit a participant's submission from the back end, if the item is showing "no slots available," editing is greyed out--disabled on that item. In other words, if I wanted to change the slot for a participant, I am able to do that successfully if there are still slots available, but cannot edit once all slots are filled. See the attached video for a demonstration of the issue.

Hi,
I am not sure if this is a bug or intentional behavior since slots widgets are supposed to be updated in widget settings. But, I will raise your concern to our developers for closer checking.
In the meantime, I can suggest to temporary update available quantity for widget to positive number and then to edit the submission. Afterwards, you can remove the available slot in widget settings:
