    Hi,

I added a referrer field to one of my form, but its not capturing the previous URL where the visitor has been, instead its capturing a different URL and coincidentally its capturing the same URL on all submissions.

The 2 landing page that has the form links are:

    https://pro.thedirectresponsemarketers.com/simple-phone-call/

    https://pro.thedirectresponsemarketers.com/simple-phone-call-gorilla/

But instead the referrer is showing:

    https://pro.thedirectresponsemarketers.com/10x-session-application-fb/

    Form submissions here:

    https://eu.jotform.com/submissions/91293965508367

    Thank you!

We apologize for any inconvenience caused. I was not able to properly check and test the Get Referrer URL widget issue because I could not find the embedded form on the landing page URL you provided.

    https://pro.thedirectresponsemarketers.com/simple-phone-call/

    https://pro.thedirectresponsemarketers.com/simple-phone-call-gorilla/

Can you please direct us on the steps on how to use the embedded form on your websites.

We will check further once we identified and accessed the embedded form.

    Hi Jonathan,

Do we need to add an embed code on the landing page (not the page with the form) Can you tell me where to find the code?

    Thank you!

My colleague was referring to this part of your original inquiry:

"The 2 landing page that has the form links are:

    https://pro.thedirectresponsemarketers.com/simple-phone-call/

    https://pro.thedirectresponsemarketers.com/simple-phone-call-gorilla/"

But we cannot find any form in either of those pages, where did you embed your form(s)?

    Hi Nik,

Sorry about that, here is the link with the form:

    https://pro.thedirectresponsemarketers.com/10x-session-application-fb/

Thank you for the additional information.

The referrer widget will record the data of the website URL from which your users filled the form.

The value the Get Referrer widget produce is the URL of the website where they (your respondents) came from before they reached your form and then submitted it.

Here, my colleague explained a bit better how it works:

Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thank you!

    Hi Nik,

I see, if that's the case, is there a way for us to know where the customer is from (URL).

In our case how can we check if the customer came from:

    https://pro.thedirectresponsemarketers.com/simple-phone-call/

    or,

    https://pro.thedirectresponsemarketers.com/simple-phone-call-gorilla/"

    Thank you!

    Hello,

You already have the link to the form in the given pages so that should suppose to do it. The problem could be related to the embed method. Please try getting the default which is the Embed to see if that will fix the problem.

    Hi,

I tried using the default embed but there is a "Powered by jotform" at the bottom. Can you tell me how to remove it?

I'm sorry, but the branding cannot be removed on the free plan. You need to have a paid subscription with Jotform to have an option to uncheck the branding from your account - settings page (https://www.jotform.com/myaccount/settings).

Note that the iframe method also has the branding for the free plan. I see that on your page the other day.

Can you confirm if the JS embed method fixed the problem with the Get Referrer widget? I checked the form, you still have the iframe there.

    Hi,

I added the embed code on my page but its not showing:

I did check your webpage and it seems there are errors in the browser console. Some code conflict between the form script and other script of your webpage is causing this issue. That is the reason why embedded form is not appearing.

It seems you have a wordpress site. You may like to take a look at the following guide on how to embed form in wordpress: https://www.jotform.com/help/324-A-Guide-to-Embed-Forms-for-WordPress-Users

    Hi,

I tried adding the embed code manually (Code editor) and I also tried using the embed plugin but it still not working.

Could you please try using iFrame embed code: https://www.jotform.com/help/148-Getting-the-Form-iFrame-Code

    And see if that helps.

    Thank you.

    Hi Nik,

The form is showing now using the iFrame code, but we are back to the same issue.

I tested the submission and its showing as:

    https://pro.thedirectresponsemarketers.com/10x-session-application-fb/
It should be: https://pro.thedirectresponsemarketers.com/simple-phone-call/ which is where I came from.

    Right, I see the issue.

What is left, that we didn't try is embedding with source code: https://www.jotform.com/help/104-How-to-get-the-Full-Source-Code-of-your-Form

Instead of iFrame code you used.

Please try and let us know if the issue persists.

    Thank you!

Unfortunately source code download option is not available in cards form.

Please use the following iFrame embed code and see if that solves your problem:

    <iframe id="JotFormIFrame-91293965508367" title="10X Session FB Ads" onload="window.parent.scrollTo(0,0)" allowtransparency="true" allowfullscreen="true" allow="geolocation; microphone; camera" src="https://form.jotformeu.com/91293965508367" sandbox="allow-same-origin allow-scripts allow-popups allow-forms" frameborder="0" style="width: 1px; min-width: 100%; height:539px; border:none;" scrolling="no" > </iframe>

    Hope this helps.

Though we have "" widget which will get the URL of the webpage where form is embedded but unfortunately there is now alternate widget to capture referrer URL.

This issue is already escalated to our backend team. We will get back to you as soon as we have any update on this.
