    New line stripped when sending emails in plain text.

    First I would like to say that your product looks great and I am looking forwarding to start using it :)

    When using plain text for sending email alerts all empy lines are stripped.

    I checked the source for the email and the empty lines are not there, so it it not just a problem with email client rendering.

    Hi,

    You are correct on this. When you use the switch to plain text, default email template will be strip of any formatting, thus all becomes "plain" text.

    If you need to re-format the message body when using plain text mode, it is suggested to do it when you have already switch to plain text -- because any formatting you applied on the html version, will only be stripped when you switch to plain.

    That's not the problem.

     

    For example, the visitor want to send us the following text

     

    --------

    Hi, 

     

    My name is John and I do that.

     

     

     

    Many empty lines

     

     

    I also Want to do that.

     

    Thanks,

    John

    --------------------

     

    When the alert reach our email server, the message will be:

     

    --------

    Hi, 

    My name is John and I do that.

    Many empty lines

    I also Want to do that.

    Thanks,

    John

    --------------------

    Is there something we can do to keep empty lines from initial message?

    Can you please try to switch the notification message back to html mode.

    This will retain the message text, but existing message body will be in plain text only.
