    Formatting inconsistencies with google spreadsheet integration.

    Asked by kubinyi on February 27, 2013 at 08:54 PM

    Hi,

    My forms are integrated with google spreadsheet and the integration has been working fine, however when looking at the spreadsheet there are many inconsistencies sush as date format, justification, font size and font type etc. Is this a known issue? If I delete my spreedsheet file and re-create the integration all the existing data gets copied into the new spreadsheet with the same formatting however when new submissions occur later the inconsistent formatting can be observed again.

    Thanks,

    George

    I have tried to reproduce the error. With no success

    Can you please refer to us the formID and the spreadsheet link?

    Here is an example of the formatting issue:

     I also noticed that if I delete and re-create the integration all the records are formatted nicely and consistently - these are the already existing submissions, however the next time a new submission happens the formatting changes, this is what you can see in the screenshot above. I don't think our forms do anything special, you should be able to reproduce this by using a quick test form with a date field. I see this with the following form 23467496352159.

    Thanks,

    George

    It seems to me that the difference lies in the fact if you are doing a submission verses exporting\importing all the already exisitng records.

    I found another discrapancy when integrating with google sreadsheets. See the following two records:

    This one is produced when the integration is 're-set' or set up for the first time and existing submission data is being sent to the sheet:

    16U\18U Water Polo (Amount: 375.00 USD)
    Total: $375.00

    ==Payer Info==First Name KurtLast Name BergtholdE-Mail thebergtholds@cox.net

    This one is produced when the integration is already set up and there's a new submission by a user:

    <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"><tr><td>16U\18U Water Polo (Amount: 375.00 USD)<br>Total: $375.00<br></td></tr><tr><td><br />
    <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" style="font-size:10px;"><tr><td colspan="2"><b style="color:#777; font-size:12px;">==Payer Info==</b></td></tr><tr><td width="70"><b style="color:#777">First Name</b> </td><td>Alex</td></tr><tr><td><b style="color:#777">Last Name</b> </td><td>Koper</td></tr><tr><td><b style="color:#777">E-Mail</b> </td><td>kopers@cox.net</td></tr></table></td></tr></table>

    They are both done by the same form: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/30245729648966

    Have you been able to duplicate this issue?

    Thanks,

    George

    I'm sorry but I reported this 6 weeks ago, and it is just a formatting discrepancy I though it would be a simple fix. Why is this taking so long to address?

    Thanks,

    George
