How productivity is measured without tracking time?

Measuring productivity without counting hours can be achieved by cultivating a new attitude and culture.

Managers and CEO's should lead by example for their employees. Prioritize and have self-control or discipline from unnecessary distractions. Respecting the time of others would also help.

Teamwork is another key paired with effective communication. Each person share their skill sets to get a job done and are held accountable. By tracking the project progress and not setting hard deadlines.

Cheers Jed. I appreciate that the main thing is the change of culture for managers and teams. Those are what can drive the increase in productivity but how do you know if that cultural change has been successful?

For example you could look at the number of deliverables completed vs the number that were planned to be completed. Or you could use peer feedback to get a subjective measure.
