Feature Request: Dynamic add option for Auto Complete Widget - Any Updates?

Hello, what's the status of this feature request posted 5 years ago: https://www.jotform.com/answers/446928-Feature-Request-Dynamic-add-option-for-Auto-Complete-Widget I too think it would be helpful in certain cases if users can contribute to the auto complete suggestions. I would like to take it even a step further and allow multiple entries that pull from the same autocomplete list.

My usage would be thus: students select a course that they have taken from the autocomplete field - if the course is not listed, then whatever they submit is added to the list for subsequent users. If the student has taken multiple courses, they are able to add another autocomplete field that contains the suggestions from the first field (and any new courses they have contributed).

    Thank you,

    Hi @nffaruk,

As checked, the request was not implemented. I can see on the thread that one of my colleagues already suggested the User-contributed dropdown widget, which is the closest widget you can possibly use to achieve the said requirement.

However, we can file a new request if you would like. Though we cannot assure the implementation, our developers will be able to check its feasibility.

Please let us know if you want to refile the request.

Hi, yes please do refile the request. The user contributed dropdown widget is great for a handful of options, but I know from previous data collection that the number of options will grow to be > 50 for this application.

    Thank you.

    Noted on that request.

I have forwarded a new feature request ticket to our developers to take a look at the possibility of the feature you mentioned. I may not able to provide you a time frame when or will it be implemented, but we'll keep you apprised on this thread as soon as updates are available.
