    Hello.

I would like to create a form where one field must have a value within a list of possible numbers.

    It is a big list.

    How can I accomplish this?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

There are several ways to validate a certain field against a list of possible values and this depends on how are you going to access the list. Here are some ways or examples on how to validate a field:

    1. You can use the Autocomplete Widget that can provide suggestions while you type into the field. It's like validating a field using another field (i.e. dropdown list)

    2. You can also use Conditional Logic that can also validate a field with the use of another field. You can refer to this thread for the demo form.

    3. You can use JavaScript and the Index of Method, but this can easily be done with a short list or array, you would also need the Full Source Code of your form then add a custom script to perform the validation.

You may provide us further details on how would you like to access the list and let's see what could be the best way to get the value or validate the field on your form.

We will wait for your response.

    Hello!

The list of possible values is in a excel sheet.

There are listed in a column.

Autocomplete might not be an option as the subscribers need to add the value.

    Any ideas?

If that is the case, I would suggest that you use our Spreadsheet to Form widget.
