I am currently using PayPal Website Payment Pro API code with JotForm embedded on my website with 7 forms thus far. I am able to process transactions using this set up and am able to accept VISA or MASTERCARD with no problem. Unfortunately I've tried up to 3 forms with a new client and neither will PROCESS an American Express. It looks as though the transaction will not process, but does not generate any official DENIAL or GATEWAY ERRORS from a consumer or business stand point, but PayPal tech support said they see DENIED errors. I used the same card on my account using VIRTUAL TERMINAL and the transaction went through. American Express is Enabled on my PayPal account. As of now, I can see no known problems from the JotForm end with the form itself as VISA/Mastercard transactions are going through using same form.
Have you heard of this problem before? Anyone else experiencing this?

Our Paypal Pro integration does NOT pass any code that may affect the acceptance of a credit card type in a transaction. The 'Accepted Cards' option affects only the card images being displayed on your forms.
If Paypal support says that the transaction is denied, it is very likely that the problem is with the card, or the bank issuer.
I suggest you try using a different American Express card to test your transaction form.

Foundation http://marfoundation.com/golf-tournament/ or
they are having the same issue with multiple cards (at least 3-4 different
Amex). I think they are all Business Black cards versus regular green ones.
Paypal says now that they DO NOT see any transaction at all - neither
denied nor attempt.
Such is this case in MY TRANSACTION. I manually used VIRTUAL TERMINAL.
SO... that leads me to believe that they have an error in their API code
integration somewhere for AMex cards
Some minor fluke.
Trying to cover all grounds as sometimes it IS the simple things that get
overlooked. 200 websites later I get that. :)
Appreciate your help. I'm sure I'm not the only one experiencing this
