Can HIPAA be used in Canada as well?

good day I was wondering HIPPA is a American system or can/used In canada as well?

Our HIPAA solution was specially designed to fulfill the requirements of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. I believe the similar solution for Canada would be Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

However, please note that HIPAA would apply to Canadian organizations that do business in the U.S. or interact with the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services or other U.S. covered entities.
