A quick billing question about a quick upgrade from Premium to Economy

Asked by dontshoot on March 31, 2013 at 08:48 PM

    Hi Guys,

I added a Jot form to our website using the free version and it quickly became evident that we were going to get more than 100 responses in the first day (wonderful)!  So I upgraded to premium for the month and all went brilliantly.

Now only a day later it looks like we may be heading to more than the 1,000 soon.  It is a one-time item, which is why we have a sudden rush, but I don't expect this will go over 10K in the month , but it looks like it may go over the 1K soon.  If I upgrade to Economy, it looks like I will have to pay another $20, which means I will heve paid $30 for the month rather than $20.

As I'm only 2 days into the first month, do you offer an upgrade price that will immediately move the account to the Economy limits, but ends up with me paying for the Economy price (I.E another $10) rather than paying for both the economy and premium services?

Thanks people, I did not anticipate such a strong response to the form :-)

    heading responses move thanks

    Hi Steve,

You can switch your subscription via My Accounts page under Billing section. When you switched your plan, your first plan will be automatically cancelled. Therefore, your account will be switched immediately to the new plan and you will be billed only with the new plan price.

Feel free to message us if you have further questions. Thanks!

    Thanks, (I think).

Sorry I do not fully understand.  If I can talk specifics, yesterday I paid $10 to upfrade to premium. Let's say tomorow (just 48 hours in) I upgrade to Economy, I will be asked to pay $20. Will I be credited for the $10 I paid yesterday?

If so, that's all good. If not I will have been charged a total of $30.  Sorry if I didn't explain myself too well the first email.

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

I see, thank you for your clarification. You can upgrade to Economy plan and we'll issue a refund on the "unused" premium plan.

Just let us know here when Economy is already settled so we can process a refund right away. Thanks!

I made the payment as requested exactly 2 minutes ago.  I see the account has automatically upgraded to Economy.  If you could please process the refund to correct the overpayment (as discussed above) that would be great.

    Hi Steve,

I have now requested to process a refund from the higher management, it may take 3 to 5 days before it would reflect back to your bank account.

Thank you for your continued patronage!
