Is possible to pass to Google Sheets short text strings in place of the longer ones that a Checkbox field has?

Some of my radio-button or checkbox options are very long text strings -- sometimes even entire paragraphs. Is there any way of passing through to Jotform and Google Sheets a shorter string, such as an abbreviation, in place of the longer one? I tried using calculation values, but that didn't seem to work.

Unfortunately, there is no way. All the fields will be passed to Google Sheets. The assign calculation values is just to perform calculations through a Form Calculation widget.
