How to avoid duplicate emails in an Approval workflow

    Hello,

I'm trying to create a workflow for a time off request. I read "A General Approach on Building an Approval Process Workflow" and followed it (or so I thought). The flow:

    Employee sends time off request.

Request goes to manager; they either approve or reject.

If approved, request goes to Executive Management team for final approval.

The problem is that Executive Management receives the 'approved from manager' request, but once Executive Management approves and submits, they receive the exact same 'approved from manager' email.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance!

I could not locate an Autoresponder called "approved from manager":

If you don't want it to be resent when the Executive Management approves it, you should create a condition that should trigger the "approved from manager" notification if it was approved by the manager, and if EM Approval is not equal "Approved".

    Example:
