[Stripe] Hidden and Required products tool not allowing form submissions

Asked by ipgflorida on April 16, 2013 at 07:25 AM

    Hi,

If someone could please help me out with this issue it would be greatly appreciated as I am stumped!

My form is found here: https://secure.jotformpro.com/form/30925793485971

On my form I have used numerous HTML codes that insert a horizontal line. The code I used was simply "

". However, I want to be able to hide this HTML code, but I cannot seem to unless I put actual text in the HTML code, which I don't want to do as I just want a horizontal line. What can I do to make a horizontal line that is similiar to what is on my form, but I am able to hide in my "conditions".

Also, on my form when I select "Direct Booking" under "who did you book with?", there is a condition that hides a required field, that is a required payment field, or "products". When you select direct booking it will hide "products", but I cannot press my submit button, or the submitt button simply doesn't work. Why is this? I thought if the input field was hidden, and it was required, it would no longer be required, how do I fix this? I need it so that when someone clicks "Direct Booking" under "who did you book with", that it will then hide "products", which is a required field if you click Tour Operator, or Other (third party website), but will still allow you to click submit, and submit the form.

    Your help is greatly appreciated!

    Thank You

    Hi Jamie,

    Thanks for contacting us!

On my form I have used numerous HTML codes that insert a horizontal line. The code I used was simply "<hr>". However, I want to be able to hide this HTML code, but I cannot seem to unless I put actual text in the HTML code, which I don't want to do as I just want a horizontal line. What can I do to make a horizontal line that is similiar to what is on my form, but I am able to hide in my "conditions".

You should name the HTML field so that you use it on conditions, it will not show on conditions if you don't name the HTML field. I tried to put a period(.) as the HTML field name, then I change the period(.) color to white so that period will not be shown on the form. Period(.) is now the reference in the conditions.  You can also use any characters , then change it to color white. I hope you can use this workaround.

The form will not submit until you have entered answers on the required fields.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thank you for resolving the issue with the HTMl. However, my form still won't submit! I have filled out all required fields, and it still won't let me submit. When I click direct booking it hides a required field, but since it is hidden it should still allow me to submit. Can you please tell me how to fix this? :(i

You are right, it is not working as expected, required Stripe payment field is not allowing you to submit the form.

I have escalated the problem to our Technicians.

In the meantime, please remove required validation from your Stripe based products field.

We will get back to you once we have any updates.

    Hi,

Okay, thank you. The issue is that this is a check in form so they must pay for the credit card hold or the property protection fee so I have to keep it required.

How long do you think it will take your technicians to fix this issue?

    Thank You

    Okay, thank you.

In the mean time, is it possible for a customer, if they click direct booking, for them to advance to another form where the Stripe payment isn't even there?

For example if I clicked tour operator, other, or expedia their conditions would stay the same, but if I clicked direct booking then the customer would be automatically transfered to another form where Stripe isn't on the form so they may then fill out what they are required to do?

If it isn't possible under conditions, how may I do it, if I can do it.

    I appreciate your help!

    Thank You

    Hello again Jamie

It is possible to redirect to another form using conditional logics

Click on Setup & Embed - Conditions

    accessing conditions

Select Change Thank You URL after submission and stablish the conditional logic to redirect to the URL of your second form , similar to this :

To grab the Form direct link, go to the Embed Form Wizard .

Otherwise you might want to embed the 2nd form into a web page of yours, if that is the case, the URL for the conditional to redirect should be your webpage URL

    I hope it helps

    Cheers!

    @NeilVicente

I am having the same problems.   Please advise as to how you fixed the bug.  In theory, Stripe is awesome since there is no individual transaction limit and the client doesn't have to go to another site; however, in practice, it's a monster.   It doesn't seem to integrate well with JotForm.  Once the bugs get fixed, I'd be happy to use it.   For now, we'll  just have to send our clients an electronic invoice for the large amounts ($11-101K).
