MailChimp Integration Full Name will not mapped

    Argh! I can't figure this out!

    I know I am supposed to be able to integrate a MailChimp sign-up form using JotForm but I have tried several times and can not get it to work properly.

    I have an existing MailChimp account that already has over 300 names opted in for email notifications.

    All I want to do is create a form using JotForm that will add names to my MailChimp database as new people subscribe.

    I have followed your integration steps but I must be missing something.

    First, your integration tool does not allow me to map a first and a last name separately. It only allows me to map a full name. That doesn't seem right to me.

    When I test the form it works okay from your side. I am able to enter the information and hit the submit button and it takes me to the thank you page.

    But the test name and email address I entered is never added to my MailChimp database.

    Could you take a look at the form and see if you can figure out what I am doing wrong?

    Have you tried creating a newer mailchimp API key that you can use on your form? Most of the time, this procedure resolves failing integration like this. Please try also if you haven't done this option yet.

    I was able to make your form integrate properly on my Mailchimp account. I was able to map both the Email and Full Name field into the mailchimp list.

    The series of screens of my steps done should help.

    Using a clone of your form, I integrate the form to MailChimp. After providing my API key, this is the next screen. In the Add to List I choose my existing MC lists. (take note, you must have an existing lists in your MC account)


    After choosing my MC list, the Email field (mapped as Your Email in the form) was the default field assign. Then, I just used Add option button to add the Full Name which is mapped in the form as Your Name field.


    Then, I click next until Finish button to close the integration wizard.

    The next screens will show when I test submitted the form, and how the subscriber(submission) was added to my MC lists subscribers

    Going to my MC account lists. My JFMCList have 1 new subscriber


    When the subscriber details is viewed. You can see the same info when the Contact Us form was submitted.


    Please try checking again on your end. As mentioned, you may want to try using a newer API key, then integrate again.

    That worked perfect! You ROCK!!!

    So now I have another question. If you notice on my form I have a checkbox where people can state that they want to receive emails from my client.

    I also noticed there is a field in my list on MailChimp labeled "Opt In". 

    My question: is there a way to link my checkbox to that "Opt In" field in MailChimp or is that field only linked if I choose to have MailChimp send an opt in email to subscribers?

    I really hate to have to ask people to confirm they want to subscribe via an email but I also want to make sure that I have proof that someone really subscribed.

    If you'd like user's to decide to subscribe or not, enable 'Only if user agrees'. That will automatically add a checkbox field to your form. You can edit its wording if you like. Check this screen.

    Hey guys,

    I am still having the same problem, I have tried a newer API several times but as above it is not sending the information over to mailchimp.

    I think the problem maybe as said above. In the mailchimp form I have first name and last name as required fields but when integrating jotfom I only have one option to select for full name so it is either first name or last name I can select, which means it won't fill the form in mailchimp as a required field was left out.

    How can I map both first and last name to mailchimp?

    Delete the default first name and last name field in your mailchimp form then recreate it again. That should display them separately in the MailChimp Integration Wizard when you re-integrate your form. Try it, that should work.

    1. Delete first name and last name in your MailChimp Form, then create it again.

    2. Re-integrate your form to MailChimp, they should display separately like this.
