    Set Conditions to Expand Form

Asked by etcstore on April 07, 2011 at 11:18 AM

Hi. I am looking to create a form for people to submit items 'to sell' through my website. Using the 'number' option I am looking for this to then expand the form based on the number of items they are looking to sell.

Each item they are looking to sell will then have a number of fields to fill in so I am struggling with just using the 'conditions' options.

I have attached a screen grab which will hopefully help explain better. If I was to increase the 'items to sell' to 2 I would then like 'item 2' to appear which would be an exact copy of what is shown for item 1. Hope that makes sense!

Any help would be massively appreciated.

This can be quite a daunting task, especially if you have a lot of options, but it is possible. Take a look at this clone of your form which I modified to show you how this could be done.

    Sample Form

I removed the Headings as those elements cannot be hidden by conditions. I instead used the Free Text HTML Tool under the Power Tools options

I have set the conditions for the 2nd item elements to show when either Option 2 or Option 3 is chosen, because the 2nd item should also be shown when the user chooses to sell 3 items, right?

Feel free to import the cloned form I created. Play around with the conditions to learn and find out how you would like the form to fit your needs.

Hope this helps. Feel free to post again if you have further questions.
