There is something totally illogical in your purchase order form.
Let's say we have a lot of flavours for doughnuts.
We add the picture of a Strawberry, then below 4 sizes
Size 1 €1
Size 2 €2
Size 3 €3
Size 4 €4
Now here is the problem, you have program the form with only 1 single choice at the time.....meaning that if a customer wishes to buy 1 x size 1 and 2 x size 2, he cannot ...Making the full form totally inusable
Could you please forward this to your programmer please as I think this is a very serious logical fault.

I am creating a Feature Request ticket for you and forwarding it to our development team. We cannot give you an ETA on this but if there are any updates on this, you will get the notification via this thread.
- delucaAnswered on April 26, 2013 at 10:48 AM
This is a really important feature as it makes this new form idea impossible to use without that.
- sidharth_kchAnswered on April 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM
We have already opened a ticket for your requirement. I see that development team has already marked this feature as Important and assigned it to a key developer.
Lets wait to this feature goes LIVE.
- delucaAnswered on April 26, 2013 at 11:25 AM
Excellent news thank you :-)))
- delucaAnswered on May 02, 2013 at 03:40 AM
Did your developper spoke about this feature please? Just to know if we move on onto another solution or not as we took your premium account for this feature, we will possibly have to upgrade to an even bigger account when this feature is launched.
If you tell me that we should wait a little bit I will but an approx time frame would be great please so I can plan the project accordingly.
- JotForm SupportjonathanAnswered on May 02, 2013 at 05:13 AM
This feature request was alrady assigned to our developer.
Unfortunatelly, we could not really give a specific time frame when it will be launched.
With so many new features and request features in-line, its quite difficult to commit on specific time frame at this time. I hope you can take the option to wait a bit more, the priority status of this feature is set to important also.
We will notify you as soon as we have new update on this.
- delucaAnswered on May 02, 2013 at 07:06 AM
Thank you for the reply.
Any idea if your believe in the next 2 months , this feature "could" be implementated? Just as a rough idea...
- pinoytechAnswered on May 02, 2013 at 08:07 AM
We can't asure you to when this feature be implemented. Our dev teams are extremly busy to other feature which is requested first. But don't worry, as soon as this feature implemented we will inform you immediately.
- delucaAnswered on May 14, 2013 at 04:52 PM
Any idea if your support has looked at this little update yet?
- JotForm SupportNeilVicenteAnswered on May 14, 2013 at 05:16 PM
The development team's workload is quite heavy these days. Although the requested feature was already added to our todo list, there is no way we can give a definite ETA.
If you intend to sell multiple variations of a product, you may try adding them as separate items instead.
Check out the following link for an example:
- delucaAnswered on May 20, 2013 at 06:15 AM
Unfortunately, I have way too much items, the form will be far too long... Thanks,
- delucaAnswered on June 18, 2013 at 07:13 AM
I wanted to know if your team is advancing on this problem please as it is quite a big bug for this type of form.
- sidharth_kchAnswered on June 18, 2013 at 07:56 AM
I see that this feature request is already assigned to one of our key developer. I would like to assure you that we are working on this.
As soon as we have any updates on this, we will let you know via this thread.
- delucaAnswered on June 18, 2013 at 08:45 AM
Thank you so much for the update :-)
Can't wait to see it working!
- sidharth_kchAnswered on June 18, 2013 at 08:59 AM
You are welcome.
Sure, you will update you once this feature is implemented.
- habsiabjadAnswered on July 01, 2013 at 04:26 AM
Any news about this feature? I really need it....
- sidharth_kchAnswered on July 01, 2013 at 05:00 AM
I am sorry but we have not received any updates on this. I see that our development team is already working on this and as soon as we have any update on this we will inform you via this thread.
- delucaAnswered on October 14, 2013 at 04:22 AM
Any updates on this please? It is so important and many threads have been asking about this for a very long time.
- delucaAnswered on October 14, 2013 at 04:40 AM
I have just checked your order form and it is very close to the perfect solution but there is still 1 tiny problem.
Let's say you create a product called:
Then below you add predefined products as:
You can also set(as your script allows it) prices per product, this is absolutely fine but there is one last problem which kills the full idea.
Let's say I want 2 slices of margherita + 1 full margherita?
Your script won't allow this to happen.
This is sad because anyonre selling food will need this feature.
One way to get around this would be to add replicate the same drop down menu each time one is selected, this would allow the buyer to choose multiple product size in one single flavor.
I hopw my explanations are clear enough for you as this is an absolutly needed feature.
With this....it will become like an ecommerce for foodstore.
One last details which is very important to people in EU. When the total price is calculated, it would be nice to allow us to post some text next to it as:
Total Price: 20 EUR (incl V.A.T)<------
As of right now, the customer won't know if our tax in inclusive or exclusive of the final price.
- JotForm SupportWelvinAnswered on October 14, 2013 at 05:01 AM
Our developers will surely update you here for any progress made into this request. Unfortunately, this is still on the queue - currently assigned to our one of our developers.
While waiting, you may consider splitting each properties as the product items. So let's say,
Margherita - Slice
Margherita - Half Size
Margherita - Full Pizza
Then set quantity properties for each item. This should work but would somehow create a long list of product items.
Tax is also not available with our current payment tools, but you can do it with the use of Paypal and set taxes on your Paypal Account Dashboard. We can also forward this as a feature request but would suggest opening a new thread for that. You can start from here: http://www.jotform.com/answers/answer.php?.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
- delucaAnswered on October 14, 2013 at 05:03 AM
Thank you for the reply.
I can't wai to get this feature to work....
Regarding the tax unfortunately, you have to tell the customer in the totals before Paypal.
- JotForm SupportWelvinAnswered on October 14, 2013 at 05:23 AM
I will try to reach our developer about this matter. We, from the support team really can't tell you the possible timeframe of every request.
About the Tax, you can add a note that after they will be redirected to the Payment Page, they will see the tax applied (only if you will use Paypal).
- JotForm SupportNeilVicenteAnswered on March 21, 2014 at 08:47 PM
Sorry for the very delayed update, but I would like to inform you that this feature is now available.
Here's a sample form:
You can easily break down your products into multiple variants by choosing which option to base the variants from.
Please let us know if you have questions, concerns or suggestions. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
- delucaAnswered on March 22, 2014 at 03:26 AM
Thank you so much for updating me on this, I will try it now and let you know if it works the way we needed it.
I will post my feedback here.
- delucaAnswered on March 22, 2014 at 03:55 AM
I tested it but there are things I do not understand.
-Let's say you have a Margherita type of Pizza, in that type you have 3 sizes:
Small Medium Large
Each size has to have quantities the user can select.
Each size has to have a price per quantity.
Problems I found:
1)If you add a quantiy property, you have to calculate the prices by hand one by one, this is a huge task when you have hundreds of products(drinks, cakes and more).
Why not have an option that enables the user to put one single price for "small pizza" for example and have this price multiplies by the selected quantity.
2)The second problem is about the title of the block per category, I made you a sample here:
Why forcing the user to put a price on the "Margherita" is this become the whole title for the item.
I added "0" but "free" is now added next to "Margherita".
3)Shipping variables missing.
One of the most important shipping variable to think about is that users may or may not pay a shipping cost according to the total amount in Euro.
For this most people need more comparaison operators like the example below:
Is it for a delivery or pickup?
If Delivery: add Shipping
If Pickup: Remove shipping.
If the Checkout price is <5 then shipping = €10
If the checkout price is >50 then shipping = €0
These are the 2 most important features for checkout,
4)Special price problem
I am not understanding this part, I have set "small pizza" and selected "spepcial price", strangely enough I could set a price per quantity but when I went onto setting up a second product, "special price" was crossed out. Could you please explain this feature?
What is needed is:
Product Title 1(Margherita) - Picture
-Sub product 1(Small Pizza) Quantity x Set Price
-Sub Product 2(Medium Pizza) Quantity x Set Price
-Sub Product 3(Big Pizza) Quantity x Set Price
Then the same things for subsequent Products.
-Coupon (On select product or the whole total)
-Comparaison operators <>
Delivery/Pickup selection(This could be a new property set to any other names).
Please let me know if you understood my explanations but without the above, no shops can sell any food for pickup or delivery, and that's a big big market!!! A lot of forms can be generated by people like us.
- JotForm SupportNeilVicenteAnswered on March 22, 2014 at 04:38 AM
I think this might be the form you're looking to create:
The user guide linked on the check box for this option "Create sub-products from this option" specifically says that a product must have a quantity option present before it can be enabled.
Furthermore, it says that you must check the "Enable special pricing" for the option wherein each must have a different price.
Unfortunately, the other features you have mentioned are very specific to your own needs, and we do not have it yet. We have started first with the implementation of the basic sub-product form with different pricing and quantity option because it is what the general JotForm populace is asking for, and it is what you were asking on your original post.
We will be working on adding the other features, but we have limited manpower, so we cannot guarantee ETAs (sorry about that).
- delucaAnswered on March 22, 2014 at 04:51 AM
Thank you for the reply.
Yes this seems fine for me to be honest, the only thing is the checkout conditions missing.
Regarding "Enable special pricing" it seems that this only works for 1 product at the time.
- JotForm SupportNeilVicenteAnswered on March 22, 2014 at 04:59 AM
In my sample form, Margherita is the one product, and big pizza, small pizza, and medium pizza are just properties of the option "Size".
Indeed special pricing can only be enabled for 1 option (Size) for 1 product (Margherita) at a time. You can also enable it for another product, check out the updated demo form:
- delucaAnswered on March 22, 2014 at 05:06 AM
Thank you for the demo.
I will have to try it later on, this seems really interresting.
Is there a way to get them align horizontally instead having the Margherita and vegetaria pizza aligned vertically. ie:
As we have about 25 types of pizzas to add in one page.
