You can pull the submission using the edit link.
Here's the guide: How-to-Let-Users-Update-Their-Form-Submissions-at-a-Later-Date
Please give it a try and let us know if that could work for your needs.
Good tool but I was thinking along lines when you create a sign in my sign out form would only show units that are signed in. You select a signed in unit it will be load original data from sign in then we add more details and sign it out.

I think what you're trying to achieve is that the initial submission will only show the sign-in fields, meaning the sign-out fields are hidden. And when you edit the submission, that's the time that the sign-out fields will be visible. Was that right?
If so, you can add a GET FORM PAGE URL widget to the form. Then add a SHOW/HIDE FIELD condition like this one:
Here's a demo form for you to try: https://form.jotform.com/200085894883062
After you sign in, you'll receive an email containing the link to edit the submission.
Please try that and let us know if that achieves the requirement. Otherwise, let us know further details on how you want it to work with your form.
