The Paypal Pro intergration returns a single field with the payer's information glommed into one field, including email address. So, to be able to run an auto-responder you have to ask for a customer's email address in JF fields...
Same goes for Address fields... You end up having to ask for street address as JF fields then they are forced to fill out that same data all over again once the paypal fields are revealed.
It would be a kind gesture to save users time and hassle if there were a way to click a button that would auto-populate the Paypal fields with data that has already been entered... along the lines of a common "billing is same as shipping" trigger. This saves the user typing their address info twice, which is an understandable annoyance.
This kind of tool is pretty common on professional and commercial web forms out there, so it would be nice to see JF keep up with this UI convention.

I will submit that as a feature request but you should take a look at this guide for a workaround.
Hope this still helps. Thank you!

Hi - thanks for the tip. That's 30+ minutes of non-trivial effort that would be eliminated if there were a built-in JF Feature.
Also, extra complicated when embedding on a Wordpress page where editing JS calls is not as simple as opening an HTML editor.
PLEASE implement as a feature. Thanks.

As a matter of fact, you can capture specific information from the payment data by using email tags, in the following format:
Other tags are:

@NeilVicente - THAT is very interesting! Thanks. I love it when I learn of these features, but wish they were more obvious in the user interface.

Any chance you could elabrorate on this, what does 'using email tags' mean?

It was related to your answer in this same post. You said you can pre-populate paypal with the address value using email tags. Just wonder exactly how that worked, where would you impliment that?

The original poster's issue was about capturing specific data from JotForm email alerts received when a form with Paypal transaction is completed.
Please kindly open a new thread for your issue.
