How can I get the date format in PDF output to match the date format in the preview output?

Asked by rayj on May 03, 2013 at 12:08 PM

When I view my form submissions, the date shows in "dd mmm yyyy hh:nn am/pm" format, but when the pdf is viewed, it can only show the date in "mm/dd/yyyy" or  "dd/mm/yyyy" format.

    How can I fix this?

    Thanks,

    Raymond

Hi Raymond, I am looking at both the pdf and the submission when viewed and I'm not quite sure I understand the output problem.

Were you referring to the comparison of viewing the form field for this? You can actually change the format that the Time-Date is displayed.

    KadeJM,

My form uses the tool you show above.  When I go to "submissions" the date shows as "Thursday, May 02, 2013 1:30:00 PM", but the PDF displays it as "02-05-2013 1:30 PM".

How can I get the PDF to display it as "Thursday, May 02, 2013 1:30:00 PM" or simply "May 02, 2013 1:30 PM"?

    Thanks,

    Raymond

Hi Raymond, I do apologize for my misunderstanding about the problem you were having and I think I see what you mean now -

I think this is actually just the way it is displayed to show you in a Alphacharacter Format that it's on Thursday in May inside of the Submissions Panel whereas if you download it the pdf reader isn't set to understand that unless our developers try to fix this. Are you requesting that this be improved upon then? I can request that we add this as an option to change the output.
