How to Show an Unchangeable Time/Date field in a formAsked by designisgrowth on May 15, 2013 at 05:28 PM
I've got a form on this page:
Is there any way I can gray out or make the date/time section unchangeable? I still want it on the form but I don't want the person using the form to be able to change it. Is there a way to do this? Thanks!
If you want to just show an unchangeable clock like the below
All I did is to add a Free Text HTML (from Power Tools ) then I inserted HTML code below, to point out to this link http://www.addcode.net/image/flash-clock-calendar/clock-calendar-010.swf
<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="150" height="280" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0">
<param name="movie" value="http://www.addcode.net/image/flash-clock-calendar/clock-calendar-010.swf" />
<param name="quality" value="high" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="150" height="280" src="http://www.addcode.net/image/flash-clock-calendar/clock-calendar-010.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed>
You can change the width and height to your convenience
This looks nice, but the problem is that I need it to also show up on the emailed form as well. So, that's why I was wondering if there was any way to change the current date/time function via the source code.
Thanks, I might actually use that clock/date for some other site though!
You can use Jeanette's workaround in conjunction with this solution: Using Dates in Email Templates. Date and time can show up on your form's email alerts by adding the tags referenced on the link I provided above.
Please give it a try and let us know how you find it.
