    iPhone from 'submit' button does not function

    Asked by BloodBrother on May 20, 2013 at 10:20 AM

    The submit button on my form (blood-bros.co contact us page) works from laptops and desktops but not iPhone.  I've received two emails telling me that after filling the form and then pressing the submit button on an iphone, the button does not work.  I tried to do the same on my iphone and it's true.  I searched and read a suggestion to add this

    @media only screen and (max-device-width: 550px){

    .form-textbox, .form-textarea {

    width:200px !important;

    min-width:200px !important;

    max-width:200px !important;

    }

    .form-label-left {

    float: left;

    }

    }

    Will this fix the iPhone funtion?  I'm reluctant to try because the submit button is working on other platforms and I don't want to interfere with that.

    Thank you.

    The CSS code you have provided will only affect the Iphone or user with less than 550 resolution. Most desktop and laptop have 1024x768 resolution or better so you need not to worry when adding CSS code with @media. The css code you have provided would probably not fix the Iphone button issue as I think that is a different case.

    Looking at your website code, instead of using your own script which is calling an html page, please replace that script with the IFRAME embed tag provided by Jotform or increase the z-index: 1; to z-index:99; and see if it works?

    To get the IFRAME embed tag, go to Setup and Embed, Click Embed Form and select IFRAME.

    If the issue still persist, please contact us again.

    Dear jefreylandicho,

    I went back to my saved form, invoked Setup and then Embed and then chose iFrame.  I copied the code presented in the next page "Embed for Wizard."  I pasted that into iWeb using insert and then selected the widget HTML snippet.  There is no iFrame option.  Perhaps that's why you saw an HTML referenced in your note to me.  If there is a different way to embed the Iframe, please tell me how.  Currently, the jotform works on my desktop and laptop, but the iphone still doesn't make the Submit button selectable.  Thank you.

    @BloodBrother

    It should be OK now. Kindly check your form in your iPhone device.

    Below is what I've injected to your form. This will forced the input boxes not to moved down under its labels when viewed on mobile device. In other words, your form on mobile displays the same as the desktop view.

    @media only screen and (max-device-width: 550px){

    .form-label-left, .form-label-top{

    float: left !important;

    display:inline !important;

    }

    .form-submit-button{

    line-height: 18px;

    }

    }
