Jotform Grid and HTML table reports have been most useful.
However, they are limited by the fact they are not editable.
Google docs, i.e. spreadsheets, are editable andprovide my clients with the ability to add fields, delete records in real-time ... and at the same time have new records added as submissions happen.
It is the perfect scenario. However achieving this requires a zapier zap: Jotform to google docs.
Not a problem ... but it is making your report function obsolete ... which is a shame as the speed of setup is like lightning.
Could you consider the ability to have editable reports ... just like google spreadsheets.
I think you're halfway there are you not?
Many thanks, Regards Mark
Edit: There appears to be a solution with the integrations option ;-)

Hi Mark, I think I understand what you mean. As far as I know we do not yet have a feature for full editing the Gridlist itself. The most you can do is remove submissions or Edit which Information shows up in the Gridlist and this will update it in realtime as well. Yes there is room as with anything to most likely improve it but keep in mind it's not meant to work exactly as Google Spreadsheets does since it is a completely different reporting tool though it's usage and design are up to our Developers.
It looks like you made an Edit saying you found a feasible solution? Or if you would like we can certainly still open up your thread as a suggestion for improvement to be added to our Features Request List. Please let us know.

The same can be said about the Table Report too.

Please put in a feature request. thanks

I'll add your request, but I'll be honest with you - this would probably have the lowest priority in our task list. Like what you have mentioned, integrating to Google Spreadsheets is clearly a working solution. I am not sure anyone from our team would be keen on implementing a feature that already has a viable workaround.
Still, I'll make sure this is added to the list.
Have a great day!

You're probably right. I'll go the integration route that already exists

The integration route for Google Spreadsheets doesn't work. Take my word for it. I've tried to use it. Yeah ... it integrates but .... I've run out of steam with explanations.
Can I request the following ... To allow a dummy column in grid reports that are editable for users to add notes.

We've made a few updates with our Google Spreadsheet integrations. The update consists of fixing Non-English foreign languages which is not accepted before, special characters and symbols. Can you please let us know the Form URL so we can check? Just in case there's need to be check by our developers.
Please open a new thread with your suggestion and we'll be glad to add it to our Feature Request list.

The first thing that comes to mind is that there is an EXIF image problem with Google Spreadsheet integration i.e. try and stick an image in a cell and its the wrong orientation.... same as jotforms reports but at least jotform has some control over their reports.... not the case with Google Spreadsheets
Also the grid report search is brilliant ... google spreadsheet isn't as nice
The one thing that is good with Google Spreadsheets is that you can add notes ie. they are editable... so I would like this feature in Grid report ... I will make a seperate thread ...
I don't have a form url going on with google spreadsheets at the moment I'm afraid ... do you want to use my google spreadsheets to check the fix you have done for foreign languages etc?
- JotForm SupportWelvinAnswered on July 24, 2013 at 07:26 PM
So basically, you want each function to be with Jotform's Grid Report, for as least the preferences you've mentioned? It's up to our developers to decide so yes, request you to please create a separate thread.
No. I'm asking for the form URL because I want to see your current form structure and how you've made it so I can clone and make my own test. This is our best step to replicate issues and so we can inform our developers about such.

I don't think this is a good idea actually ... now I realise that you can edit submissions by the submission bin ... and not incur submissions
Can it. Thanks
