    Unable to use the SUBMIT OUR MUSIC form on our website

    Asked by bobunsigned on June 06, 2013 at 04:38 AM

    Hi Guys,

    This is my third attempt to try and get some support on this...

    We are getting many people telling us they are unable to use the SUBMIT YOUR MUSIC form on our website.

    If you could please take a look at it - we're paying a monthly fee with you which is fine, but its getting a bit ridiculous that it isnt working, it's been going on for a few months now.

    Regards

    Matt

    @bobunsigned

    I checked your form and don't see any issue with that. I also did a test submission on your form and was able to do that successfully.

    Request you to please ask your users if they are getting any error. This will help us investigate your issue.

    Thanks,

    Sidharth

    Hi Sidharth,

    Many thanks for your kind response, it is a relief to finally hear back.

    Some users are successfully submitting their music but many are saying they can't. We are reciving about two a day telling us the click through wont work.

    Is it possible it could be dependent on which Internet browser someone is using?

    I will endevour to get you more information. What information exactly would you like in order to help you fix the problem?

    Many thanks

    It could either be a browser issue or script conflict . Please try replacing  http://max.jotfor.ms/min/g=feedback2 with http://max.jotfor.ms/min/g=feedback and see if it resolves the issue

    It would be a great help to our investigation if you can provide us what browser and platform are being used by the users who are having an issue submitting music to your website.

    Hi Jefrey,

    Thank you very much for your response, I tried to use the button using Fire Fox and it worked but on Internet Explorer it did not.

    Am I able to insert that script on the Jotform website or would I have to give it to my website designers?

    Many thanks again

    Hi, Ask Your website designers to replace the link as one of my colleague asked to do so.

    replacing  http://max.jotfor.ms/min/g=feedback2

    with http://max.jotfor.ms/min/g=feedback

    in the source code

    Please Let us know if that solves your problem or not.

    Thank you.

    Hello - thank you for all your help last week. Our website company added the new code but some people are still having problems. I have had two people with issues today who say the 'SUBMIT YOUR MUSIC' button does not do anything.

    They are both unsigned 'GOOGLE CHROME'

    Please help.

    Best wishes

    Hi Matt, I ran a test but I also seem to be unable to replicate this issue since I was able to upload a file with no problem and submit it.

    When you say " Unsigned Google " do you mean that they are not signed into google or did you mean something else by that? I just want to make sure that we are understanding you correctly.

    Can you try Clearing your Form Cache to see if this helps any?

    Additionally, if the problem continues are you and those that are experiencing this issue using the latest version of Chrome? And also can you have them check to make sure that JavaScript is Enabled since that would explain why and also can cause the button to not work correctly if disabled.

    Hi Kade,

    Sorry - I meant they are both USING Google Chrome - I am so used to writing the word Unsigned everwhere because of the website.

    This is problem has only been occuring for the last couple of months. Will clearing my form Cashe help others submit?

    I will happily ask users for additional information - what details will help you?

    Best wishes

    @bobunsigned

    I have cleared your form cache from server. You can also clear your browser cache and see if that helps.

    Please ask your user to go to this website http://www.geenee.com/checkjavascript.php#document and click on "Check if JavaScript is enabled on this browser"

    Let us know what message they get.

    Thanks,

    Sidharth

    Hi Matt,

    I was able to replicate the problem on IE. There might be some transparent divs or flash that blocks the form on IE. You can replicate the problem when you hit "Listen to Music" button first before you open the form. Doing that, the fields becomes unclickable.

    I am not sure if this help but it's worth a try. Please try to add the following code between the head tag of your page.

    <style>

    .window-content{

    z-index: 11111111111111111111 !important;

    }

    </style>

    Let us know if this doesn't help. Thanks!

    Hi Jotform - our web designer has inserted that code and we seem to now be getting submissions.

    However - now all of our submissions are coming through not with the email address of the person who submitted the file but just 18 random numbers as the name of the folder!

    HELP - this makes life difficult for us when looking for a file!

    We just want our Jot form to work properly!

    This is related to the Dropbox integration settings. You will need to go to your form Submissions page, click on the gear icon, go to the Manage Integration and change the Folder Name to some field.

    Please feel free to contact us if you need any further assistance.

    Thanks so much - that has worked - really pleasing as so much has been going wrong on our jot form lately.

    I will let you know next week if we have any more problems with submissions.

    Thanks again
