    Why does the keyboard not appear when linking a QR Code to a form?

    Asked by kar0898 on June 06, 2013 at 01:49 PM

    I have created a QR Code that will be placed on printed materials for a client. When the QR Code is clicked, it takes the user to http://form.jotformpro.com/form/31564742128959 to fill out the form.

    However, the keyboard on the iphone doens't automatically appear to compelte the text boxes. Do you have any recommendations?

    Thank you for contacting us.

    This is happening due to the fact that we do not focus on any form input upon page load. This is working in the same way on mobile and desktop browsers. In other words, user will need to tap on some field manually.

    If you can use a form source code on some web page, then it is possible to add a tiny Javascript code in order to focus on some input.

    Like this:

    <Body OnLoad="javascript:FormName.FieldName.focus();">

    In this case, input will be focused upon page load, and keyboard will come up.

    Please feel free to contact us if you need any further assistance.
