I was added as a sub-account today, under another user but my account isn't functioning proberly, as when I click on "My Forms" It is just a blank page, the create form button is grayed out, and I don't see any of the forms shared with me.
Can this be fixed? Thanks! If it cannot be fixed can the account be deleted so I can recreate it?
- sidharth_kchAnswered on June 14, 2013 at 03:28 PM
I checked your account. I was able to reproduce this issue. I am creating a ticket and forwarding it to our development team. As soon as there are any updates on this you will get the notification via this thread.
- andrewc2Answered on June 14, 2013 at 03:36 PM
Would it be quicker to delete this account, Recreate the account and then remake the sub-account?
- sidharth_kchAnswered on June 14, 2013 at 05:09 PM
You can try that. I just created a sub account and shared form. I was able to view the shared form.
You don't have to delete your account. The user who shared forms with you, please ask to delete the sub account and send an invitation again. Then you please clear your browser cache and log back in to your JotForm account.
Let us know if that solves your issue.

Are you expecting to see forms/folders from the parent account that have been shared with you? I think at the moment if the parent account has not yet shared any resources with you there will be nothing for you to see.
However I think you should still be able to create forms into the parent account even if no resources have been shared so I think this is a bug on our end.
I will work on a fix and get back to you.
- andrewc2Answered on June 14, 2013 at 05:33 PM
While Talking with the owner of the parent account, they set the account to "share all forms" and as you see in the screenshot it remains empty. It's missing "My Forms" "Favorites" "Archive" "Trash".
It only shows a grayed out "Shared with you" that is blank.
I have asked the owner of the parent account to remove the subaccount and re-add it to try that out.
- JotForm SupportpaulsimpsonAnswered on June 14, 2013 at 05:37 PM
Can you please let me know the name of the parent account so I can investigate further.
- andrewc2Answered on June 14, 2013 at 05:53 PM
The parent is bdyouth4him
- JotForm SupportpaulsimpsonAnswered on June 14, 2013 at 06:01 PM
I have checked the parent account and they current do not have any forms shared with you. They have chosen the option to choose which forms/folders to share but have not chosen any to share.
If they want to share all of them with you they should choose the 'Share All' option.
Sub accounts, created after 29th May, no longer see "My Forms" "Favorites" "Archive" "Trash". They only see "Shared With You" and any accounts that are currently sharing forms/folders with them are shown in that section.
- andrewc2Answered on June 14, 2013 at 06:04 PM
That's odd they said they had chosen "Share All"
So when an account is created as a sub account it doesn't work completely as a normal account?
The Account owner also said that they did not see the form I had created on there account. Also should my account show up as "free" or something else?
- JotForm SupportpaulsimpsonAnswered on June 14, 2013 at 06:16 PM
As of 29th May sub accounts no longer act as normal accounts do. These sub accounts can only create form into parents accounts.
How were you able to create a form with the create form button disabled?
Sub accounts should see the parent account under the "Shared With You" menu but because your parent account has not yet actually shared any forms with you you do not see it. This is a bug on our end you should be able to see the parent account there and create forms into the parent account whether they have shared forms with you or not. I will work on a fix for this asap.
Sub accounts are currently showing up as free but any forms they create into parent accounts benefit from the parent account allowances.
- andrewc2Answered on June 14, 2013 at 06:26 PM
Ah okay I understand. The form I started was done though the home page form creator.
I'll work with my parent account owner to have forms shared.
Thanks for your help Paul!
- andrewc2Answered on June 17, 2013 at 12:44 PM
Paul how long should it take to get the "create form" button fixed?
- JotForm SupportWelvinAnswered on June 17, 2013 at 02:07 PM
I am sure that Paul has been working on this issue. However, we cannot provide you any ETA as to when this get fixed.
While waiting for an update, I suggest asking the Main Account to select and share forms to you. Per checking the Main Account, I found that there are no forms selected after they select the option "Select from my forms". See screenshot for visual explanation:
You'll see, "View Submissions" and "Edit Form" /dots/ are not checked. When they are shared, checked mark will be visible instead of grayed dots. Example:

I should have this fixed later today. I will update this thread once it is completed.
- andrewc2Answered on June 17, 2013 at 04:33 PM
Just to make sure I'm clear the submission limit shown on my account doesn't matter correct? As it uses the parent account's limit?
- JotForm SupportpaulsimpsonAnswered on June 17, 2013 at 05:47 PM
If you now clear your cache and visit your myforms page. You should now see your parent account 'bdyouth4him' shown under the 'Shared With You' menu.
You will need to click on this account folder for the 'Create Form' button to be active and you will then be able to create forms.
Any forms you create will be owned by your parent account any submission limits will be calculated from the parent account limit.
I see your account has a form called 'VBS 2013 Registration' you created as a guest user. Are you expecting to see this form still?
- andrewc2Answered on June 17, 2013 at 05:48 PM
Will take a look. UPDATE: Yes I do see bdyouth4him listed now!
Yes I was hoping that could get moved over? I've spent a few hours getting that form setup, this form was intended to go on the parent account.
- andrewc2Answered on June 17, 2013 at 05:57 PM
It seems like the import form button isn't working after clicking "Create Form" nothing happens. The other two options do work.
- JotForm SupportpaulsimpsonAnswered on June 17, 2013 at 06:09 PM
I will have a look into the import problem. Which browser are you using?
- andrewc2Answered on June 17, 2013 at 06:17 PM
Chrome Canary build on windows, also firefox shows the same.
- JotForm SupportpaulsimpsonAnswered on June 17, 2013 at 06:21 PM
Thanks. I have located the bug. Working on a fix now
- JotForm SupportpaulsimpsonAnswered on June 17, 2013 at 06:36 PM
If you clear your cache again the import function should noe be fixed.
- andrewc2Answered on June 17, 2013 at 06:43 PM
Works, should I be able to import that form I've got already created?
I did the "insert web link" type option and that seems to have worked, Is that correct?
- JotForm SupportpaulsimpsonAnswered on June 17, 2013 at 06:59 PM
What was the link you entered to clone the form? From looking at your account it seems to have cloned it but not into the parent account.
I will need to look into this. If you want I can get one of our support team to transfer your orignal form into the parent account whilst I am working on a fix?
I am sorry about the amount of issues you are having. The sub accounts are new features so we are still ironing out any problems.
- andrewc2Answered on June 17, 2013 at 07:13 PM
http://www.jotform.us/andrewc2/VBS2013 was the link I used.
That would be great! I'd really appreciate it!
Don't worry about it Paul, you've been a great help and It's probably helping other users as well!
- jeanettebmzAnswered on June 17, 2013 at 07:23 PM
I have now transferred the form VBS 2013 Registration' to the parent account 'bdyouth4him'.
I am very pleased to see that transferring form solved the problem
- andrewc2Answered on June 17, 2013 at 07:40 PM
Is it possible for the clone that is stuck in my account to be removed?
Thanks, you guys have been great! I'll happily recommend you guys any chance I can!
- JotForm SupportpaulsimpsonAnswered on June 17, 2013 at 07:52 PM
The clone has now been removed.
- andrewc2Answered on June 17, 2013 at 09:32 PM
One more thing it looks like I can't delete all submissions, I can delete individual ones but when it asks for my password and enter the password for the account (which I just tested for login) it says "Wrong Password. Operation Aborted" perhaps it's looking for the parent accounts password?
Also my integrations don't seem to be working any longer, google spreadsheet isn't syncing automatically since the switch and email addresses aren't being added to mail chimp, I've tried re-doing the connection multiple times.
- JotForm SupportpaulsimpsonAnswered on June 17, 2013 at 10:18 PM
Could you please open a new support ticket regarding these problems? That way one of out team can research the problem before passing a bug report on to us.
