Search and populate associated data in the formAsked by billylevine2003gmailcom on June 26, 2013 at 06:23 AM
I would like to incorporate the following into a forms
A job request number with a job description. This is a much larger list then a drop down. I would like to be able to search and select a job number and description and then have it populate an application form.
Think of it as
job# 1.....and long description which could be a large number.
One thought is to have an htlml page feed jotforms with the selection........
Any suggestions would be appreciated
Sorry but that's not possible with JotForm. We do not have tools that would search existing data and populate it's associated data in the form. You may try to consider using Auto Complete tool under Power Tools, though this only search data on it's list.
You can also take your form source code: How to get your Form Source Code and modify it to get the desired function you want. This one might help: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/forums/showthread.php?45895-How-to-populate-php-html-form-with-MySQL-data
