    Multiple columns, Shipping Charges questions?

    Asked by cbeausoleil on June 27, 2013 at 03:48 PM

    Hi. I just a few questions...

    1) Is it possible to create multiple columns?

    When I create a form that incudes a list of items, the form can get quite long. Having multiple colums would make it easier to see all at once. (see attached screen shot)

    2) How can I get my forms to calculate shipping charges, and include the shipping cost to the total at the bottom of my forms? Especially if it could show the shipping charges based on zip/postal codes. I've seen it on other sites but can't figure out how it can be done here.

    Hi,

    I've cloned your form and made some workaround on it for you to check if this is something you want to achieve in your form.

    http://www.jotformpro.com/form/31776683629974

    If yes, use this custom css and inject into your form.

    .form-product-item {

    border: 1px solid #EFEFEF;

    margin: 1px;

    float: center;

    width: 241px;

    }

    .form-product-item + br {

    display:none;

    }

    br + b {

    float: left;

    padding-top: 20px;

    }

    If you need further assistacne, do let us know.

    Thank you!

    Hi.
    Thanks for your response.
    I must be missing something. When I click on the link you supplied, it still looks the same as what I already produced. I still only see one column and I don't see any reference to any shipping issues.
    I am tired, being that it is the end of the work day for me.
    Are we addressing the column issue or the shipping issue? What about the other?
    See attached:

    Hi Christian,

    On the cloned that I've provide, this is how it looks like on my end with two columns.

    With regards on the file that you've attached, can you please post it again?

    Thank you!

    Hi.
    Thanks again for your reply...
    I added your code, and yes it does work but only appears correct in the Jotform site. When I pasted the source code into my site (in iWeb), it still appears as one column.
    And again... any advice on a shipping solution.
    Thanks,

    Hi.
    My apologies for the delay. It's been a crazy week and I had to revise and load the site since this page was not up yet.

    Hi Christian,

    I suggest you also review this guide about this 2 column form.

    How-To-Have-Two-Column-Payment-Form

    Here is a test form http://www.jotformpro.com/form/31737621196962

    But since you are embedding your form to iWeb website, it must be causing conflict when using the script embed.
    Will it be OK if you re-embed the form using its iframe code. Will you be able to try this?

    Please update us.

    Thanks.

    Thanks guys for the help.
    I did what you recommended as best as I can, and I did get multiple columns going in iWeb by placing the code at the end and at the beginning of the recommended code in the supplied link.
    So far, it's getting there, but the columns do not follow a nice order. It's more scattered and hard to identify. Is there some way to fix this?
    Also, when I use the "Shrink" expand property, in the Properties tab, the result I get is every item is all in one row, thus getting cut off at the right, so I turned it back off so that I can see the columns again. Am I doing this right?

    Is the URL below where the form is embedded?

    http://www.jackedcars.com/Merchandise-Novelties.html

    I was not able to find the source code of the form there. Probably you might need to edit some tags here and there to show it correctly. I am also thinking on the width of the container in that page

    Please let us to inspect this more carefully. We will await for your response
