How to hide specific fields that are not empty in submissions?Asked by moseadan on July 03, 2013 at 12:09 PM
I have a form which i'm using to test a few functions, and i was looking to only get a submission email based off notes supplied.
Currently my form looks something like this:
Header - Test subject
Subheading - Explaining what to test
Dropdown - Choose from yes, no, supply notes.
Notes - If answer requires more than a yes or no, supply information here.
However because i'm testing multiple functions i have had to duplicate them multiple times (at least a 50-60 fields).
What i'd like to get is 2 emails, one which is already setup, and a new one that is an email based off whether or not someone has filled in the notes field. Then i'd like it to show only those note forms. Optimally i'd also be able to get the heading and subheading to make it make sense in context, but i'll settle for just showing notes if it comes to that.
It doesn't help that because there are numerous duplicated fields, i would have to manually tick off the ones that i'm interested in showing that has had notes filled in.
Is there a way to automate this?
Unfortunately, we do not have an automatic function for this. By default, all fields with an entry are visible, and fields without entry are invisible in Form Submissions Page. You'll have to uncheck some other fields if you'd only like to show the others.
If you'd also like to show the Headers and Text within your form into your form submissions page, you'll have to check the "Show Headers and Texts" from the options per your screenshot attached.
With regards to the Email Notification, you can setup to only show certain fields. Just remove the field tags from the settings. Basically, you can customize the Email Notification. We have a tools so you can add Headers and Texts, Split and Merge Tables, add/delete rows and columns.
But again, we do not have a function to automatically include headers and text in the form notification.
You can also use this guide: Send Form Notification Base on a Field Selection.
