How does HIPAA and BAA works?

how does the contract work? it's called BAA, and it's usually between the parties that are going to get the information and where it's being provided to, I do not understand what I need to do?

If you are the authorized person of the company, you can go ahead and upgrade to HIPAA and sign the BAA. Otherwise, you need to tell the authorized person to do it on your behalf.
