Barcode Use on Surveys

Good Afternoon - I just created a draft Covid form for church using one of your Covid templates. I included the barcode option. A nail salon that also uses your forms uses the barcode. Yesterday when someone scanned  the barcode it took them directly to the survey. When I scanned the bar code on the survey I created, I got a pop up on the top of my phone asking if I wanted to open in Safari. Once I tapped it, it took me directly to the survey. Is there a way to go straight to the survey without getting the pop up once you scan the code? The person who scanned the barcode at the nail salon is also an iPhone user like me, so we were curious about the difference. I’ve attached the pic of my bar code for reference. Thanks in advance.

Can you please share also to us the URL link of your form that have the barcode on it. We will check and test the actual form.

We will wait for your updated response.

Here you go. https://form.jotform.com/lisar619/first-church-covid-19-questionnaire I also attached a screenshot on how it comes up on my phone after I scan the barcode. I have to tap open in safari before the form comes up. I had someone else test it and it did the same.

Could you please check iPhone settings to see if the default browser is allowed to open all the time.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Thanks.

Safari is the default browser, But I’m not sure where to check if it’s allowed to open all the time. Request Desktop Website is off. Camera access on all websites is set to ask. I changed it to allow and I didn’t change anything.

Hi there - If you already set Safari as the default browser, I believe it should no longer ask for confirmation before opening the URL, but you can also check the settings from the QR code scanner application you're using to check about its permissions.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.
