I want to pass in default values in the First and Last Name field

I have a First Name and Last Name field (which is hidden and read-only) in my form: https://www.jotform.com/build/201765631215147

I entered some values for the Placeholder for both First and Last name BUT it is not showing up in the Form Submission, and I do not know why...

I do not want the person filling the form to see or be able to change these fields. I just want to pass their name into the fields, so that their name shows up in the submission email.

Thank you for contacting Support.

Placeholders are short hints that describe the expected value of an input field (e.g. a sample value or a short description of the expected format).

What you would need is a Default Value for your field. Unfortunately, you can't add default value on the Full Name field, unless you prepopulate the fields via URL parameters.

You might want to consider using a Short Text field instead.
