Fill drop-downs from a mysql database or a csv file?Asked by NicholasHinrichsen on July 16, 2013 at 12:53 AM
you guys are really awesome, love jotform!
Now i'm trying to do something slightly complex. I want to create conditional dropdowns. I saw in the FAQ / Help section how to create conditions but I still need some help because
(i) I want drop down C conditional on drop down A and B. For example: "Car Make" (e.g. BMW) has different "Models" (e.g. X5) and those Models are also based on "Year" (e.g. 2005). Is that possible?
(ii) I actually have a csv file that has all Years, Make, Models, Trims and the easiest way to populate my drop-downs would be using this csv as a source. Is that possible?
Thanks for your help! Really appreciate it!!!
Thanks for your great feedback!
Unfortunately this is not possible with JotForm. You have to get your form source code and apply custom script to achieved this, sounds pretty complex. How to get your Form Source Code
This one might help but I don't know if this is ideal for your requirements: http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?85184-CSV-to-html-form-field#11
