Why is the liability waiver portion of my form not coming through e-mail or submissions?

Asked by phoenixsociety on July 18, 2013 at 03:20 PM

I created a JotForm that includes a liability waiver as the last page.  At the end of the page is a date and signature field.  The date and signature come through the e-mail or can be viewed through submissions, however; the liability waiver text does not come through.  Why not?

    Hi,

Unfortunatelly, this is correct. The Free Text(HTML) field which you used in your liability waiver text is not available when you view it in email form fields

The workaround to this is to put the waiver text instead into the email message body so that it will be included in the email recipient message. You can just copy/paste the same waiver text from the Free Text(HTML)

To answer why it is not included, the Free Text(HTML) field is a field that allow some scripts or links. If it will be included in the email template, it is possible to exploit it's scripting capabilty and can be a cause of security issue.

Hope this help. Please inform us if you need further assistance.

    Thanks.
